1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture through our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Generated content: Scripts you generate, voice profile samples you provide, and your niche preferences.
- Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
- TikTok data: If you connect your TikTok account, we access your public profile information (display name, avatar) and video performance metrics (view counts, likes, comments, shares, video duration). We do not access your private messages, drafts, or unpublished content.
- Usage data: Script generation counts and feature usage for rate limiting and service operation.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Service, including generating personalized scripts
- To analyze your TikTok video performance and identify patterns that improve script quality
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
- To communicate with you about your account or the Service
3. TikTok Data
When you connect your TikTok account:
- We access only the data you explicitly authorize through TikTok's OAuth consent screen
- Video performance data is cached temporarily (up to 1 hour) and used solely to generate analytics insights for your account
- We do not share your TikTok data with any third parties
- We do not post to your TikTok account or modify any of your content
- You can disconnect your TikTok account at any time from the Scriptly app, which immediately deletes all stored TikTok data
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Upstash Redis with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens for third-party services are stored server-side and are never exposed to the browser. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers that are necessary to operate the Service:
- Clerk: Authentication and user management
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Anthropic: AI script generation (your topic and preferences are sent to generate scripts; voice samples are sent to match your style)
- Upstash: Data storage
- Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure
6. Data Retention
Script history is retained while your account is active. TikTok analytics data is cached for up to 1 hour. Voice profile samples are retained until you delete them. If you delete your account, all associated data will be removed.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and export your data
- Delete your voice profile, script history, and TikTok connection at any time from within the app
- Request complete account deletion by contacting us
- Disconnect third-party integrations at any time
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
